Is there anyway for you guys to remove me as admin so I can't see your private sections and stuff? I think I tried when I left but I can't remember.

After I saw Vik's Raven loss on the KB, I thought it would a good idea to post some basic PvP rules:

- Solo PvP in a Battleship is hardly ever effective after tuesday's patch. So from now one, never engage solo in a Battleship, unless you got superb drone skills and a Dominix.

- Never mix Armor and Shield Tank. NEVER, NO EXCEPTIONS.

- Never mix weapon types if the ship does not have both weapon types bonussed. For example, never fit a Raven with a Laser or a Vexor with Artllery cannons. Some exceptioins are made, for example the Autocannon fitted Myrmidon. Always ask one of the experienced PvP'ers before you fit other weapons on a ship then the ship bonusses tell you.

- Cruise Missiles are not for PvP. The only exception is sniping with T2 Javelin Cruise missiles from 200KM distance.

See part 2 of this email for more rules of PvP

2008.11.13 15:39
- NEVER EVER mix different range weapons. For example, the Vexor has both Railguns and Hybrid turrets bonussed, but mixing them is not good. This means you will never have your maximum damage potential at any range, meaning you will be less good then another ship.

- Gallente ships are almost always armor tanked, and have a low explosive resist. Therefore, always engage Gallente PvP'ers with Caldari Navy Bane Torpedoes if you have torps trained, Berserkers for drones.

- When you engage a Gallente ship, always assume his highest resists are Kin/Therm. Hybrid ammo does Kin/Therm, so engaging a Gallente ship with hybrid weapons is not always effective.

- Always use T2 or Faction ammo in PvP. Factions are for example: Caldari Navy, Dread Guristas, Federation Navy, Dark Blood etc. If you want to know what ammo type does the most damage, check the info window of that type of ammo and look for the base damage on the different types.

See part 3

2008.11.13 15:40
- Always carry drones of you have a drone bay, even if you have crap skills. That 5% added dps from the drones might just be what you need to kill someone.

- The following ships are often buffer tanked or passive shield tanked, meaning they take a long time to kill if you haven’t got a lot of dps, and that they hardly need any capacitor: Nighthawk (passive shield tank, insane resists), Megathron (buffer armor tank), Drake (passive shield tanked), Abaddon (buffer armor tank, needs capacitor for guns though), Armageddon (buffer armor tank), Vexor (buffer armor tanked), Broadsword (passive shield tank), Onyx (passive shield tank)

- The following ships are highly capacitor dependant, meaning they are vulnerable for Neutralizers and should always be fitted with at least one capacitor booster: Astarte, Hyperion, Maelstrom, Raven (unless buffer tanked), Myrmidon
(unless passive shield tanked, but that’s not very often used), Cyclone

2008.11.13 15:40
- The following ships are often used for bait, meaning they have their friends waiting somewhere near and that after you engage the bait, you will die: Abaddon, Megathron, Armageddon, Rokh, Drake, Ferox

- The following ships often PvP solo or in small fast groups, and are very nasty, meaning you shouldn’t engage unless you are well prepared: Curse, Falcon, Rook, Arazu, Huginn, Rapier, Ishtar, Cerberus, Vagabond, Zealot

- Always insure T1 ships at Platinum level if you think you are going to lose it within 12 weeks. (basically all PvP ships)

Always ask one of the experienced PvP’ers if you are not sure about a certain fitting or not sure whether to engage in a certain fight.

And remember: never fly a ship that you can’t afford to lose!

Hi all;

Had a question posed to me about this planet, rotation clockwise(is backwards) a brown dwarf star with 7 planets 2 earth like!!!!
YEAH MY ASS  this is scientoligy all over again make people believe any crap for the real truth ask an astrobioligist from nasa.gov QUOTE from

http://astrobiology.nasa.gov/ask-an-astrobiologist/question/?id=2759

Question

Nibiru Redux: Six recent questions about Nibiru: (1) I have found a lot of stuff about a so called planet. Planet x or nibiru. It anything they say possible like revolving around the sun clockwise and it has been said that its orbit is way far out past Pluto. Also there are statements that it has a 3600 year orbit around the sun an that is is supposed to return in the near future. Is this possible at all? It sounds fishy to me, but there are supposed pics of it and a lot of scientist talk about it. I even wikipedia searched it. I would just like to find out some info please. (2) Nibiru does exist and I can prove it. Nibiru is in the old testament Exodus 6:4. and you are watching Nibiru from a lab on the south pole. also I have images from a telescope of Nibiru. and people from the southern hemisphere can see Nibiru in the daytime. is that proof enough for you? (3) many signs tell that something big is out there coming and why wouldn't it be true about nibiru / planet x there is a lot of fact historical and scientific but i do understand your awnser but why build a telescope at the south pole an photos and such with this redish dwarf star moving fast in 1983 it was 50 billion miles away and 10 years later it is alot closer is it hiding behind the sun i know you all dont want to start a world wide panic. (4) I read were you said that Nibiru is a hoax. My question to you is why would anyone let the american population know about such a catastrophy? Isnt it the governments job to keep the population at ease? (5) You say Nibiru is a hoax, and no such planet exists, but is Nibiru not Eris? (6) What is this a picture of? http://www.greatdreams.com/nibiru-possible.jpg It's said to be Nibiru, but as you say Nibiru is a hoax. so what is this really a photo of?
I hope this is my last comment on the Nibiru hoax, but questions like the above six keep coming in. Most of the entries on the Internet about Nibiru are false. Wikipedia has it correct when they write that "Nibiru is a name in Sumerian, Babylonian astrology associated with the god Marduk, generally accepted as referring to the planet Jupiter." The rest is a hoax, including all the "stuff" questioner #! found on the internet. Questioners #2 and #3 mention the astronomical observatory at the South Pole, but I assure you these astronomers are not looking at Nibiru. The Antarctic is a great place for astronomical infrared and short-wave-radio observations, and it also has the advantage that objects can be observed continuously without the interference of the day-night cycle. If the questioner really thinks that Nibiru is visible in the daytime in the southern hemisphere, they are very confused; this sort of statement is obviously false. Questioners #3 and #4 seem to think that the government would hide information about Nibiru and the catastrophe supposedly due in a few years, but I can't imagine why. My experience is, in fact, that sometimes parts of the government do just the opposite, as in the frequent references to various terrorist threats or warnings about driving accidents on long holiday weekends, which are no more dangerous than any other time. In any case, the job of NASA scientists is to discover and tell the truth! Questioner (5) asks if Nibiru is the same as Eris, and the answer is an emphatic no. This Nibiru hoax has been around for a decade, including predictions that Nibiru would pass close to Earth and cause a catastrophe about 5 years ago. (Guess what: it didn't happen!). Eris, in contrast, is one of several dwarf planets recently found by astronomers in the outer part of out solar system, all of them on normal orbits that will never bring them close to Earth. There is a good write-up on Eris in Wikipedia. Finally, Questioner (6) asks me to identify two pictures. I could perhaps do so if I knew the type of telescope and camera used and the scale of photos. Without that information, I can only guess that (if these photos are real) these might be images of a gas cloud (nebula) ejected by a star in its old age. They are obviously very distant, since we see stars in the foreground superposed on the nebula. Also, since the stars are the same, this object (if it is real) has not moved between the dates of the two photos. It is just crazy that anyone would claim that these are photos of a planet in our own solar system. Let me say once again that Nibiru is a hoax promoted by a cult; it does not exist, and it certainly poses no threat to us. It saddens me that people would be taken in by such nonsense. David Morrison

First BF3.

Our Spies tell us we'll soon see the announcement of Battlefield 3. This is great for fans of online shooting, long distance sniping, helicopter strafing and comedy tank antics. EA are tight-lipped for now, but here's what to expect.

Modern Combat
The biggest question: when and where will it be set? We hear it's going to be modern-day, in a fictional war between NATO and the Middle Eastern coalition [MEC]. Consider the last game - a future of floating artillery and anti-grav platforms - a diversion. Most of the eight maps will focus on urban sites. We'd love to see a return of Strike at Karkand - a frenzied battle across an empty city.

More Online
Since Battlefield 2, the team at DICE have picked up influence from MMO game. Persistent stat tracking and new weapons for experienced players will be present, but we're hoping for more. Expect to customize your soldier's appearance, armour, and weaponry beyond unlocks. Choosing a face, voice, tattoos, and badges would be an obvious start.

Heavy Tech
In console land, they're already being treated to a new Battlefield game, Subtitled Bad Company, it's debut of the next-gen "Frostbite" engine. Aside from producing staggering draw distance that lets you pick off targets miles away, it's imbued with some serious deformation technology. Buildings can be blown apart, bridges burst and craters carved. Battlefield 3 will evolve that technology further.

Class Act
Why mess with a near perfect set of abilities? Battlefield 3 won't alter the standard Sniper, Assault, Medic, Engineer, and Support class balance. Want a quick rev? Call for a Medic. Need a tank busted? Grab the Assault trooper and pray he's packed an RPG launcher.

Guns, And More Guns
Every soldier needs a weapon, and Battlefield 3 will be chock full of firearms, 34 in fact, split evenly between the MEC and NATO. You'll have to work for the privilege of sporting the most powerful rifles. As well as weapons, you'll unlock armour, ammo, helmets and accessories.

Play Together
The best feature of Battlefield 2. Sharing objectives and voice chat with friends as five-man squads. That's being extended, with squads able to join up to form a battalion - the perfect partner for improved clan support and ranked servers. Commanders can still order grunts to the front and supply them with ammo drops, radar pings, UAV reconnaissance and the occasional artillery strike.
